Astronomy Research Presentation
Description: You will individually research a specific area of research in astronomy using
reliable/academic sources. You will then put your findings together and record a PowerPoint
presentation using zoom (5-10 minutes). Please follow the instructions on how to record using zoom
in this video. Make sure to submit mp4 file to the canvas- “Project Assignment”.

Grade: You will be graded based on the rubric below.

Topic: You may choose absolutely any topic; however everyone must submit a proposal for your
topic to be accepted. For ideas, look at the “List of Possible Topics” below. Topics will be assigned
on a FIRST COME FIRST SERVE basis. The sooner you email me via canvas your proposal, the
more likely you are to get the topic you want.

Proposal will consist of:
– Topic: A few sentences specifically explaining the topic you would like to research and
record your presentation.
– Sources: At least TWO reliable/academic sources you have found and intend on using.

For this presentation, select an area of nurse practitioner (np)

10 slides with speaker notes due 4pm

For this presentation, select an area of nurse practitioner (NP) practice that is of interest to you and in which you would like to see a practice change occur. Conduct a review of literature to see what is currently known about the topic and to find research support for the practice change you are recommending.  You may use a topic from the list at the link below or may investigate a topic of your choice as long as it pertains to NP practice. If you are unsure of your topic, please reach out to your instructor. Be sure to provide speaker’s notes for all slides except the title and reference slides.

TOPIC: Vaccinations for adults and/or children

Create an 10 slide PowerPoint Presentation that includes the following:

  1. Introduction: slide should identify concepts to be addressed and sections of the presentation. Include speaker’s notes that explain, in more detail, what will be covered.
  2. Evidence-based projects: slide should explain the general importance of master’s-prepared nurses engaging in evidence-based projects related to nursing practice and profession. Provide speaker’s notes with additional detail and support from at least one outside scholarly source (not the textbook or course lesson).
  3. Conceptual Model: slide should provide an illustration of a conceptual model that could be used to develop an evidence-based project. Possible models include The John’s Hopkins or Advancing Research and Clinical Practice through Close Collaboration (ARCC) Models or you may select another model you find in the literature. In the speaker’s notes, explain how the model would be applied to the development of an evidence-based project. Provide support from at least one outside scholarly source (not the textbook or course lesson).
  4. Area of Interest: identify an area of interest related to NP practice in which a practice change may be needed. Slide should identify the area of interest and what is currently known on the topic. Speaker’s notes more fully explain what is currently known and should provide rationale for why the area of interest is important to NP practice. Provide support from at least one outside scholarly source (not the textbook or course lesson).
  5. Issue/concern and recommendation for change: slide should identify a specific concern related to your general area of interest and your recommendation for a practice change. Speaker’s notes should more fully explain the recommended change and rationale for the change. Recommendation should be supported by at least one outside scholarly source (not the textbook or course lesson).
  6. Factors Influencing Change: slide should identify at least 2 internal and external factors that could impact your ability to implement your recommended change. Speaker’s notes should more fully explain how the factors you’ve identified would support or impede the implementation of your recommendations. Factors may be based on personal experience or on information you found in your research. If the identified factors come from the literature, provide reference citations to support your ideas.
  7. NONPF Competencies: slide identifies at least two NONPF Competencies that are relevant to an evidence-based project related to your area of interest. Speaker’s notes should explain how the competencies relate to your area of interest. Provide support from at least one outside scholarly source (not the textbook or course lesson).
  8. Conclusion: slide provides summary points of presentation. Speaker’s notes provide final comments on the topic.

Defense in depth | Computer Science homework help

A common model for security is called “Defense in Depth.” As the name might suggest, this is recommending a layered approach to security with multiple security protections in line between the item of value and any potential attacker. Pick some item of value (data), describe the data and its value, and suggest a set of security protections you would recommend that are in line for adequate defense in depth.

Two discussion board questions | Sociology homework help

Please make sure to reference the diagram in the chapter to give you some idea of where we stand with regard to the social construction of social problems process.  Chapter 9 is quite methodical about how to evaluate different policies; that is, on what grounds can we critique a particular policy.

For this assignment, consider TWO different policies with regard to the same problem.  For example, the “THREE STRIKES AND YOU’RE OUT” mandatory sentencing guidelines that were implemented in the 90s have had questionable outcomes.  What would be the other, alternative policy to this policy?  Select either an already existing or pre-existing policy from another nation or time period and explain  on what basis is this policy preferable?  Succinctly cite a reputable source about the basic terms of the policy in order to argue why your proposed policy rests on better ideological grounds, is more fitting or less open to abuse, or completely redefines the “problem.”

2}

We’ve reached the point of the course at which you should be familiar with the entire social construction of social problems process.  The current chapter, titled, “Claims across space and time” intends to direct your analytical attention to COMPARATIVE or cross-cultural approaches to the social scientific study of social problems. The chapter lays out several factors with regard to which social problems could be fruitfully compared.

For this extended assignment (you will have until the end of next week to complete it), you will have to carry out some more extensive social and historical research to uncover some details about certain social problems that would otherwise be obscure.  The boxes on Page 321 and 328, along with the case study on page 337 (on statues and flags) features brief comparative perspectives on the social construction of different problems in different cities and periods.   Please read those because they provide very good EXAMPLES of the right set of basic questions you will be asking yourself in this assignment.

For this assignment, you will select ONE social problem and compare instances of the social problem process associated with this specific social problem:

CHOOSE ONE OPTION:

(1) compare the construction of a social problem in the same place but at different times.  Write a persuasive 1 page response citing academic, journalistic, or historical sources.  Identify the primary claims/frame, secondary claims by experts or activists, public reaction, and policy proposals at each time.

(2) compare the construction of a social problems at different places during the same period of time.  Write a persuasive, minimum 1 page response citing academic, journalistic, or historical sources.  Identify the primary claims/frame and secondary claims by experts or activists, public reaction, and policy proposals at each place (city, county, even state).

(3) Analyze expert or activist claimsmaker campaigns with the same types of claims for apparently 2 or 3 different social problems.  (For example, are there claimsmakers that lump excessive video game usage and drug use through the use of  the same set of claims?)  Why have claimsmakers privileged one set of claims or frames when others are possible?  What policy proposals follow from this set of claims?  Write a persuasive, minimum 1 page response citing academic, journalistic, or historical sources.

In your paper, begin with an introduction that describes the role of assessment in diagnosis and treatment. Using your researched articles, compare at least two psychological or educational tests and/or assessment procedures for each of the topics chosen. Analyze and describe the psychometric methodologies employed in the development and/or validation of the tests and/or assessment procedures associated with each of the three topics.
